1. How do I reserve a pavilion?
Availability can be checked by phone 332-6700. You will need to know the date you desire, time and approximate number of persons to attend. However, you must come into the office to fill out the paper work and pay before we can confirm.
Pavilion Rental Rates:
Homewood Residents $40 (5 hours / $5 each additional hour)
Non-Residents $70 (5 hours / $10 each additional hour)
2. What type payment do you accept?
Checks, cash, money order or credit cards..
3. How do I make my check out?
Homewood Park
4. What are your office hours?
Monday through Friday from 8AM - 5:45PM.
5. Are pony rides allowed?
No. However, you can have moonwalks.
6. What is the entrance fee to the park?
Entrance into the park is free.
7. Do you have non-resident memberships?
Yes (See membership section)
8. Are alcoholic beverages allowed?
No
9. Do you have an indoor pool?
No - Outdoor pool only at Homewood Park and West Homewood Park
10. Does the membership rate include classes such as Jazzercise, Bench Aerobics, etc.?
No - you pay the instructor for the classes/programs.
11. Do you have an after school care program?
No, but we have a Spring, Summer and Christmas Camp Program.
12. How do I register my child/children for youth sports such as soccer, basketball, etc.?
The process varies - consult the section on youth sports.
13. Do you have swim lessons for adults?
No, the swim lessons are for children only.
14. Do you have evening swim lessons?
No, the swim lessons are taught in the mornings in June and July for a two-week time period.
15. What is included with the pavilion rental?
When renting a pavilion, you only have access to the space which has been rented. Other facilities such as the gym, weight room, ballfields and pools are not accessible by just renting a pavilion. The park itself is open to the public for use as well as the playground.
16. What are the different Walking/Running distances at Park facilities?
Lakeshore Greenway Trail:
Brookwood Mall Bridge to Columbiana Road Bridge is 2.6 miles.
Homewood Central Park:
Sidewalk inside Stage and inside Playground, approximately 5.3 laps equal one mile.
The sidewalk inside the Stage and outside the Playground, approximately 3.7 laps equal one mile.
Homewood Community Center Indoor Track:
Sixteen laps equal one mile.
