    • This age group will be playing 3-on-3, half-court games on Saturdays.
    • Games for K–1st grade will start in January.

  • Eligibility

    Children are eligible to play if they or their parents match any of these criteria: 


    1. Child/Parent is a Homewood resident.
    2. Child Attends Homewood City Schools.
    3. Parent is an employee of the City of Homewood.
    4. Parent is an employee of Homewood City Schools.

Players are no longer required to participate in the Homewood Rec Basketball League to be eligible for Hoopswood, but it is strongly recommended to help support the community

Evaluations will be held in late October. Registered participants will receive detailed information via email after registration concludes.

Team selections will take place in the last week of October, with notifications sent out in early November.

Practices will begin in early November, following team notifications.

Teams will practice once or twice a week, depending on the coach’s schedule and gym availability.

The season officially begins in the first week of December.
