The Homewood High School basketball program is now organizing and operating the competitive youth basketball program under the new name Hoopswood. Hoopswood replaces the former "OTM" program and offers young athletes an opportunity to compete at a higher level. For updates and more information, follow Hoopswood on Instagram: _hoopswood

Players are no longer required to participate in the Homewood Rec Basketball League to be eligible for Hoopswood.

  • 2024 Registration Dates

    2nd – 8th Grade

    September 24 – October 18


    K & 1st Grade

    November 5 – 29



  • Eligibility

    Children are eligible to play if they or their parents match any of these criteria: 


    1. Child/Parent is a Homewood resident.
    2. Child Attends Homewood City Schools.
    3. Parent is an employee of the City of Homewood.
    4. Parent is an employee of Homewood City Schools.


FAQ'S

Evaluations will be held in late October. Registered participants will receive detailed information via email after registration concludes.

Team selections will take place in the last week of October, with notifications sent out in early November.

Practices will begin in early November, following team notifications.

Teams will practice once or twice a week, depending on the coach’s schedule and gym availability.

The season officially begins in the first week of December.
