With the exception of Overton and Woodland Parks, which close at sunset, all parks close at 10:00 PM unless otherwise approved by the Parks & Recreation Board.

The City of Homewood approved nearly $1 million for the playground renovation in 2024. The completed playground was built by Twin States Recreation.

Homewood Parks & Recreation offers nine pavilions in four parks for picnics, birthday parties and family gatherings.
General Information
Reservations are available 7 days a week pending availability. Pavilions rent in one daily time block from 9:00 AM–6:00 PM, with one rental per pavilion per day.
One bounce house is allowed per rental. Water attractions, colored paint or paintball guns, water balloons, silly string, confetti, vehicles on park grounds and alcohol are not allowed.
Make a Reservation
Reservations are booked in person at the Business Office in the Homewood Community Center, 1632 Oxmoor Road, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:30 PM. Cash, credit/debit cards and checks are accepted.
Homewood residents should bring a current lease agreement, property tax notice or utility bill when making the reservation.
Special Events
Pavilions cannot be used to host Special Events. Events that charge participants, conduct fundraising, advertise to the public or include vendors require a Special Event Permit.
Good to Know
Pavilions are reserved for one daily block, 9:00 AM–6:00 PM. One bounce house is allowed; water attractions, paint or paintball, water balloons, silly string, confetti, vehicles on park grounds and alcohol are not. Homewood residents must provide proof of residency. Events with admission or participant fees, fundraising, public advertising or vendors require a Special Event Permit and cannot be held as a pavilion rental.
