    • Julia Tucker Bio

      Julia Tucker is currently at the University of Alabama at Birmingham majoring in neuroscience while pursuing her masters in multidisciplinary biomedical sciences. She has lived in Birmingham since the age of five, and formerly attended Oak Mountain High School. Julia played Varsity Basketball for three years and was recognized as team captain her senior year. As much as Julia loves the game, she more importantly has a passion for children. She is involved in YoungLife where she has the privilege of ministering the senior girls at Homewood High. The Homewood community has been so encouraging to her and she is eager to start the season. As always, go Patriots!

    • Jaylon Underwood Bio

      Coach Underwood played at Homewood, who went on to win the school’s first basketball state championship in 2015. She is currently in her 2nd year as a Homewood Girl’s Basketball Assistant Coach. Coach Underwood is also a coach within the Alabama Heat Elite organization, an AAU program that’s helps high school athletes develop and get to the collegiate level if desired. She loves movies, art, basketball, cares about her players, and enjoys watching players grow into successful athletes.

    Teresa McGhee

    • Teresa McGhee Bio

      Teresa McGhee is a native of Birmingham, AL; and a graduate of The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) where she received her Bachelor of Science and Masters of Science in Physical Education. She currently teaches Physical Education at Homewood Middle School; and coaches 8th Girls’ Basketball, 7th Grade Volleyball, and Girls’ Tennis. In her free time, she enjoys napping, traveling, shopping, and spending time with loved ones. Coach McGhee aims to make an impact on youth through education, sports, and community involvement; and she looks forward to working with Homewood Parks and Rec.

    • Brad Hodge Bio

      Brad Hodge was a four year basketball letterwinner and graduated from UAH.  He has two Master’s Degrees and coached collegiately for 20 years at the Junior College, NAIA, D3 and D1 level.  He spent 8 seasons as the Head Womens Basketball Coach at Birmingham-Southern College and 14 years overall as a Head Coach.  He is a 2 time Conference and Region Coach of the Year who has mentored 6 All-Americans and 10 Academic All-Americans.  Brad has two children, Alex, age 19 and Breanna, age 16.

    • Lou DiFeo Bio

      Lou DiFeo graduated from UCF in 1996, spending 5 years as a student-assistant on the men’s basketball team.  They went to two NCAA Tournaments, playing Purdue in 1994 and UMass in 1996.  He went on to coach at Oviedo HS in FL and Homewood HS.  DiFeo shifted to coach Womens college basketball for 14 years as a D1 assistant as well as a D2 head coach at multiple stops. He has worked basketball camps in the summer for 25+ years and is currently the Athletic Coordinator and Basketball Director here in Homewood.
